Monaghan Women in Business November Event – “Waking the Giants” with Guest Speaker Moira Ní Gallachóir
Moira has an extraordinary story to tell! She left her 9-5 job in London to return home and fulfil her dream of freedom by starting her own business. In spite of having never owned a business before, she first built a travel business to help bring visitors to her local area in County Donegal and quickly succeeded in attracting hundreds of visitors from all over the world to the destination.
She then built a consistent monthly revenue stream of €25k lightning fast from business coaching and now helps business owners and entrepreneurs all over the world to fulfil their dreams with their own profoundly profitable business.
Moira brings her dynamic brand of business mentoring all over Ireland and the US to show entrepreneurs a bigger vision for their own businesses and a powerful, authentic path to inspire their way to more contacts, contracts, clients and profits!
Her 2017 speaking tour is themed “Waking The Giants – How to make a Difference, Make Money and Do What You Want When you Want”. Sounds great! We are delighted to be part of Moira’s national itinerary!

This was a great evening out with over 80 Monaghan Women in Business in attendance.
On Thursday 12th October, Monaghan Women in Business , an initiative of LEO Monaghan, hosted its very first National Women’s Enterprise Day celebration in style.
The event, which took place The Hillgrove Hotel, also provided us with magnificent opportunities to learn from the experience of others , network, have a great evening out and to visualise your business growing in terms of sectoral and geographical markets.
Focussing on our theme “New Markets – New Challenges – New Opportunities”, our panel of speakers included:
Sammy Leslie from Glaslough who told us of her experiences in the hospitality, tourism and service sectors. Starting from very challenging beginnings, Sammy has succeeded in establishing Castle Leslie Estate as a much sought after and highly acclaimed brand at national and international level – frequently a flagship for Monaghan tourism, events and leisure activities. A story well worth hearing!
Carrickmacross woman, Lisa Marie Clinton, shared her experiences – so far – as a woman in I.T. Winner of Monaghan’s Best Young Entrepreneur Start Up Competition, Lisa Marie set up Avail Support in 2015. Avail’s e-Learning app and web portal supports children and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. After only two years in business, Lisa Marie has successfully launched her product in the U.S. market and her plans for entering new export markets are already at a very advanced stage.
Finally, we welcomed Victoria Mary Clarke – Publicity and Media Coach, Journalist, Speaker, Broadcaster and Angel Author. Victoria Clarke told us how to expand our customer base and markets by getting noticed by and featured in the media. Lots of trade secrets and valuable insights there – well worth getting to know for all business types and activities!
Presentations were followed by Q+A sessions where the views of the panel will be sought. Contributions by Monaghan Women in Business attendees were, as always, very very welcome.
In addition, 20 Monaghan Women in Business showcased their business at this very important event.
Photographs will be posted soon.
